They introduce you and your hatchlings to Georgia's turtles! Become an expert turtle-er through hands-on activities, games, crafts, and outdoor exploration.

"Life under the Water" at Tidelands Nature Center

Learn the parts of a fish! What makes them float? Why are fish dark on the top but
light on the bottom? During this one-hour program for children ages 4-10, you'll get some very interesting answers. Mark your calendar for this Friday morning event
10:45 - 11:45 am at Jekyll Island's Tidelands Nature Center on Riverview Drive South.

Children must be accompanied by an adult; admission is $5.00 per child
and $2.00 per adult.

Beach Music Festival & BBQ Beach Bash
August 21 - 22, 2009

This event has those wonderful summertime favorites: beach music concerts, shag lessons, and the first annual Barbecue Competition! The concert schedule features some of today's top beach music bands including the Swingin' Medallions, Fantastic Shakers, and Jim Quick and Coastline. And, oh, that barbecue! This competition has some of the best barbecuing teams in the region.
