Sunday Dinner Dance July 26, 2009

Dance the night away in the Grand Dining Room the last Sunday of each month. Seating begins at six for an evening of gourmet dining and dancing to the music of Wayne Tate’s “Four and Easy” ballroom dance band. Featured entrée choices for the evening are Today’s Fresh Catch, Veal Oscar, or Petite Angus Filet Mignon. Also included are Soup du Jour or House Salad and the Pastry Chef’s Dessert Selection as well as Coffee or Tea. $36.95 plus tax and gratuities. The Grand Dining Room, often the scene of sumptuous banquets a century ago, continues to be the scene of social gatherings and gourmet experiences today. Beautifully appointed, the room is accented by the original frieze, Ionic columns, and three distinctive fireplaces. It was recently decorated to create the “life of elegant leisure” of early Club members. The original heart pine floor is excellent for ballroom dancing.

Fourth of July Buffet at the Hotel’s Beach Pavilion

Everyone’s excited about the fireworks tonight, and they’re heading for the beach early. The Hotel’s Beach Pavilion is just the place to go to have great American fare and enjoy the fireworks that begin later around 9:00 pm.

The Pavilion has rest room facilities, rental umbrellas and beach chairs, picnic tables, and an open-all-day snack bar with beverages, ice cream, chips and more. It’s a great spot to meet friends and enjoy refreshments in the shade throughout the day.
