Sunday Dinner Dance – June 28

Come as a couple or with a group, but bring your dancing shoes and your appetite for a delightful evening at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. The Sunday Dinner Dance, the last Sunday of each month, is that wonderful combination of gourmet dining and ballroom dancing. The event begins at 6:00 pm.

The Grand Dining Room menu for the occasion offers a choice of Crab Stuffed Flounder, Veal Oscar, or Char Grilled Angus New York Strip Steak. Beautifully presented, each arrives at the table at just the right temperature with the chef’s selection of accompaniments. Wayne Tate’s “Four and Easy” ballroom dance band features favorite dance melodies, and the band is happy to accept requests.

More than a century ago, Club members including Joseph Pulitzer, William K. and Alva Vanderbilt, Edwin and Sarah Gould, and Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Morgan and their friends enjoy dinner in this same dining room, the highlight of each day on Jekyll Island. Their tastes are reflected in the room’s classic décor and heart of pine flooring that is perfect for ballroom dancing.
