Executive Chef Abigail Hutchinson has released exciting new lunch and dinner menus for the Grand Dining Room and the Courtyard at Crane.
In the early days of the Club, members such as J.P. Morgan, Cyrus McCormick, Joseph Pulitzer and their friends would gather in the Club dining room expecting their dining experience to be exciting and enjoyable, the courses to be made of the finest and freshest ingredients, everything to be presented beautifully and served graciously. These traditions continue in the Grand Dining Room and the Courtyard at Crane today. |

“We have introduced some exciting new items on the menus that we think will delight and perhaps surprise our guests,” says Chef Abigail. “We're fortunate to live in a region that has an abundance of seafood and fresh produce. It inspires us to create menus that bring out the best in taste and presentation for our guests.”
During the month of May, the Grand Dining Room is offering a Lunch Special at $11.95 per person that includes Soup du Jour or House Salad and Chef’s Daily Special. Make your reservations online.
Courtyard at Crane has an Early Bird Special at $19.95 per person with seating between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. Crane’s special includes a house Salad and a Choice of One of Three Entrees. The Morgan Center renovation project is well underway, and excitement is growing for the scheduled opening of the facility in September. The historic Morgan Indoor Tennis Court, originally built in 1929, is being completely renovated for adaptive reuse and transformed into a beautiful, dual-level conference center.
The $3.5 million Morgan Center project, undertaken by Pinkerton and Laws of Marietta, Georgia, has begun with removal of the original red clay and asphalt floor as well as preparations for interior resurfacing and elevator installation. Replacement of the exterior wooden shingles of the building is the next phase to be undertaken.
A new, 1,800-square-foot banquet kitchen facility will be constructed on the south side of the Morgan Center building. All catering and conference services will be handled by the Hotel.
When completed, the newly transformed facility will have 4,900 square feet of conference space on the main level and 1600 square feet on the mezzanine. Open and spacious, the lower level can accommodate groups of 400 people; 120 more, on the upper level Mezzanine.
For more information about the Morgan Center for conferences, weddings or special events, contact the Jekyll Island Club Hotel Sales Department at 912-635-2600, extension 1070, or email sales@jekyllclub.com. |
