Grand Dining Room Soars in Regional Open Table Ratings

We're celebrating in the Grand Dining Room! The 2009 Open Table Diners' Choice ratings place our restaurant near the top in Georgia restaurants in seven categories. One of the leading international websites for making restaurant reservations, Open Table, has announced the ratings of 283 restaurants in Georgia, that participate in the online reservations program.The Grand Dining Room ranks first in the Romantic Restaurant category, second in Best Service and Ambience, third in Special Occasion Restaurant, fourth in Best Overall, seventh in Best Food and tenth in Great for Brunch! More than 156,400 diners in Georgia voted based on their dining experiences. Winner of Bed and Breakfast Drawing

Aimee Moore of Erie, Pennsylvania is this month's winner of the drawing for the Bed and Breakfast package at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. Her prize includes beautiful Victorian accommodations with king, queen or two double beds and the breakfast buffet for two in the Grand Dining Room.

Mrs. Moore was very happy to win this package. She said, "I'm so excited! This is the first time I've ever won anything, and how appropriate to win this contest. I have been there three times in the last three years when my son played in the spring college golf tournament. I have used that as my excuse to go back to Jekyll, and I have stayed longer every year. I truly consider Jekyll Island paradise on earth. Last winter we had 148 inches of snow! Hopefully this trip will be the light at the end of our dark winter tunnel.

Winner of Dinner for Two Drawing

Congratulations to Ben and Cynthia Allan of Milton, West Virginia! They're this month's winners of the drawing for a Free Dinner for Two at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. They have a choice of dining in the elegant Grand Dining Room or the historic Courtyard at Crane restaurant on their next visit to Jekyll Island.

The lucky winners became eligible for the drawing by having dinner at one of the above restaurants and completing the hotel's guest comment cards.
