Jekyll Club Employees Obtain CPR Certification

Transportation Manager David Head who also sits as the Chair of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel’s Safety Committee has started a CPR Certification for Hotel employees. When asked where the idea to offer this class came up Head responded “During our safety team meetings the need for CPR training kept popping up as a goal.” During the search for ways to offer the class on our barrier island he quickly discovered we had a great opportunity in our own backyard. Head along with the help of Deputy Chief Bagerly and his team from the Jekyll Island Fire Department our hotel has begun a certification process. With something that started small it is now growing into something much larger. Currently we have offered 2 classes  training almost 20 employees. Head says “We will continue to train more employees and if possible open it up to other Island employees.”
