Get swept away by our most swoon-worthy cottage. When Crane Cottage was built in 1917 by Richard Teller Crane Jr. it was the most expensive home ever built on Jekyll Island. Exquisitely designed in the Italian Renaissance architectural style, every effort has been made to preserve the design, including the cottage’s exquisite sunken garden and central courtyard. Thirteen guest rooms are joined by Old World communal spaces such as the Crane Library, Crane Dining Room and Crane Living Room, which anchors the cottage as the stately, central space overlooking the reflecting pool and Italian cypress trees. The spaces within Crane Cottage are an exquisite backdrop for weddings and celebrations on Jekyll Island.
