FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

In order to make it easier to plan your next visit to the Jekyll Island Club Resort, we've provided some of the most frequently asked questions regarding our current operations, and information about our Resort policies, fees, and what they provide.

Can I make a new reservation now?
Yes. Please visit our website or call (844) 201-6871 to book a new reservation. We're currently open to overnight guests at both the Island and the Ocean Club.

I have a reservation and even though you are open, I don't feel safe traveling yet. What can I do to reschedule or cancel?
The safety and well-being of our guests is our top priority. If you would like to reschedule or cancel a reservation please call reservations at (844) 201-6871 or email reservations@jekyllclub.com to discuss your options.

Are the beaches open?
The beaches are open for all regular beach activities including the use of beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers. All activities must adhere to the State of Georgia's social distancing guidelines (6 ft or more) and groups are limited to a maximum of 10 people.

Are the pools open?
The resort pools at both the Island and the Ocean Club are both open.

Is Jekyll Wheels open?
Jekyll Wheels is open daily for bicycle rentals.

What time is check-in/check-out?
Check-in time is 4:00 pm or later, and guests must be checked out by 12:00 pm (noon). If you arrive early, our Front Desk will be happy to hold your bags while you explore the Resort grounds prior to your check-in time.

Are pets allowed to stay at the Resort?
We have limited pet rooms available in the Sans Souci building only. There is a $100.00 non-refundable pet fee. There is a 30lb weight limit and we only allow one pet per room. View The Jekyll Island Club Pet Policy Agreement.

Is there a parking fee?
There is an $8 toll/State Park fee to enter the Island since it is a protected park, but there is no fee to park at The Resort. The toll is sometimes higher for holidays and special events. Click here to view more information on the Island's parking rates.

Where can I eat breakfast?
Full-service and take-out at The Pantry (with seating on the veranda, courtyard, and Dubignon Room), full-service at Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar, and breakfast in the Grand Dining Room on Saturday and Sunday will be available.

Where can I eat lunch?
Take-out from The Pantry (with extra indoor and outdoor seating) and sit-down lunch at The Wharf (closed Monday's), Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar, and The Pool House will be available.

Where can I eat dinner?
Take-out from The Pantry (with extra indoor and outdoor seating) and sit-down dinner at both The Wharf and Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar will be available.

Why is the Grand Dining Room Closed for Dinner?
Preferences have recently changed, and our resort and island guests have made it quite clear that right now—they prefer our open-air dining experiences. The Wharf, Eighty Ocean, Pool House, and quick, tasty bites from The Pantry are catering to these preferences. But our guests have also made it clear they must have The Grand Dining Room's Breakfast. We hope you'll join us, and we appreciate your support.

Where can I order drinks?
The Pool House and Eighty Ocean will be serving poolside drinks, The Wharf will be serving drinks from the bar and while you dine, and the The Lobby Bar will be serving drinks in the evening.

Will you have shuttles, bell service, valet service, and daily housekeeping?
In an effort to practice distancing and keep guests and employees safe, these services are currently unavailable.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid fees equal to 1 nights deposit.

RESORT POLICIES, FEES & INFORMATION

Resort Policies

  • All reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit card or by an advanced deposit.
  • Credit card guarantees will be processed for first night's room and taxes, 30 days prior to the arrival date.
  • Advance deposits must be received within 14 days after reservation is made when time allows, or reservation will be canceled.
  • Reservations canceled 7 days prior to the arrival date are subject to a $25.00 service fee.
  • Reservations canceled within 7 days of the arrival date will forfeit the first night's deposit.
  • Guests leaving prior to their scheduled departure date will be charged a $75.00 fee.
  • Guaranteed reservations that are unclaimed will be charged one night's room and taxes.
  • Check-in time is 4:00 pm. Check out time is 12:00 pm.
  • The hotel is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is not allowed in any guest room or indoor public area. Smoking in any guest room will result in a cleaning fee of $225.00 per room charged to the registered room guest.
  • A 12% tax is added to all room rate categories and all rooms are subject to a $20 per night resort fee plus 6% sales tax and a state-mandated lodging fee.
  • For reservations booked in Cherokee or Crane Cottage we reserve the right to change to equal or upgraded accommodations in other buildings in the Hotel and will notify you of this change in advance.

STATE LODGING FEE

In the 2015 state legislative session, Georgia House and Senate leaders passed House Bill 170, a bill which is attached to a broader transportation package that will funnel millions each year into road and bridge repairs in the state of Georgia. The State Hotel-Motel Fee – a mandatory $5.00 per night fee on any rented hotel room in the state of Georgia began effective on July 1, 2015. As such, the Jekyll Island Club Resorts are now lawfully required to act as an agent of the government and to collect this fee, per night per room.
